A Dauphin resident is a member of an elite group of football players.
From all across Manitoba 80 players tried out for 40 available roster positions. Defensive Lineman Thomas Montpetit was one of those 40 selected.
Of 14 players who tried out, only 5 or 6 were selected for D Line positions.
Coaches are in the process of contacting those players which have been selected and will hold a formal ceremony over the weekend. After that the full roster will be made public.
The U-16 Team will start competing later this month.
