What a great weekend weekend it was for the Parkland Vipers 14-U volleyball team.
Playing in the Westman tournament, the Vipers put together some incredible performances and while they lost in the final, they can be extremely proud of their efforts in finishing with a silver medal out of 16 of the top teams in the province.
In the round-robin, Parkland earned clean sweeps against Westman (25-11, 25-18), and Club West 13-U (25-11, 25-10). The Vipers split with Providence Pilots Navy (25-21, 16-25) to finish second in their pool.
The group carried that momentum into the playoffs as they hammered Southern Storm in the quarterfinals, 25-17, 25-5. They followed that with a straight set win against RVC, 25-17, 25-16. In a back and forth championship final against Dynamo VC, the Vipers lost a two-set match, 24-26, 19-25.
It was an outstanding weekend and there is plenty to build off moving forward for this great group of Parkland stars.
