The Dauphin U-15A Kings have earned the right to compete in the Tournament of Champions in Brandon next month.
Playing in a qualifier over the weekend in Souris, the Kings put together a fantastic weekend, wrapping it up with a decisive 5-2 win over the Prairie Storm to book their spot in next month's event, which will feature the top teams in the province.
In the round-robin, Dauphin beat Prairie Storm, 5-1, and Warren, 19-2.
They carried that momentum into their quarter-final in an 8-3 win against Transcona and then doubled up Central Plains, 4-2. That led to their win against the Storm in the finals.
