It was nearly a comeback for the ages for the Dauphin Clippers hockey team.
While they came up just short, their great battle back saw them earn a single point on Sunday in Wawanesa. Playing Vincent Massey #2 for the second time in a week, the Clippers lost in a shootout, 6-5.
Dauphin was down 5-1 before staging a comeback to force extra time. Dauphin now has points in seven straight games to open the season.
Ronin Mouck scored twice with Ethan Carnegie also had two goals, Norman Lacquette scored Dauphin's other goal.
