The Dauphin Kings have hit double digits in the win column.

The team won their 10th game of the season on Sunday afternoon in a gutsy performance against the Winkler Flyers in a 2-1 victory. It is Dauphin's second straight win against the defending MJHL champions after beating them last weekend.

Cole Sheffield was outstanding as he made 34 saves in the win while Joshua Schmidt came up clutch. He got his stick on a shot from Naaman Hofer with just 5:17 left and the goal was the winner as Dauphin earned two important points.

It was Josh's first goal of the season while Ethan Williment (6) also scored for Dauphin in the game.

With the win, the Kings remain a point back of the Northern Manitoba Blizzard for first place in the MGEU West Division, Dauphin does have a game in hand. They'll return to the ice on Friday when they play the Winnipeg Freeze, you can hear that game here on 730CKDM with Darnell Duff, 7:30 pregame show.
