The Parkland U15 Rangers treated their fans to an overtime win on Saturday as the team opened up their season at Credit Union Place.

The team's 4-3 win over Yellowhead also saw Clint Weir of Swan River win his first game as a head coach at the AAA level. Trailing 2-0 after 20 minutes, a resiliant group came out in the second and stormed back with two goals before both teams scored a goal apiece in the third.

Madden Atkinson was the hero for the Rangers as he scored just 52 seconds into sudden death. Cole O'Connor, Parks Gardner and Bodhi Bloomer all scored a goal for the Rangers in the victory.

Parkland continues their season next weekend with three games in Winnipeg against the Bruins Gold, Wild Red and Thrashers Blue. Their next home game is on October 12 in Russell. They also play October 19 in Grandview.
