For the first time since 2011, the Dauphin Kings have begun their season by winning four straight games.
Powered by a dominating performance in the back end of a home-and-home with Neepawa, the Kings were just 61 seconds away from blanking the Titans until they scored. Regardless, Dauphin still secured two points with a 3-1 win at Credit Union Place.
Dauphin (4-0) completely dominated the Titans from start to finish as they continued to roll to begin the campaign. Ethan Williment scored his third goal of the season while Naaman Hofer found the back of the net for the first time this season.
Declan Hoad would then score his first junior goal with less than nine minutes left. With 1:01 left, Caden Hagerty spoiled Cole Sheffield's bid for his second shutout of the season. Sheffield made 15 saves for his fourth win of the year.
The Kings will now be in tough on Tuesday when the Winkler Flyers come to town. You can hear that game with Darnell Duff and Jeff Henson beginning with the Parkland Source for Sports pregame show at 7:15.
