Carter Zalischuk is set to wear number 16 and make his season debut on Friday night for the Swan Valley Stampeders.
Zalischuk was traded by the Kings to Swan Valley in exchange for a player development fee. Across 98 games with his hometown Kings, Zalischuk scored eight times while adding 10 assists. He is only a few seasons removed from putting up 41 regular season points in 44 games and six playoff points in seven games with the U18 Rangers during the 2021-22 campaign.
Swan Valley will play Steinbach on Friday before heading to Winnipeg to play the Blues on Saturday and wrapping up their weekend on Sunday in Niverville.
