It was an emotional post for Chris Streveler as he announced on Instagram that he had torn three of the four major ligaments in his knee.

He was knocked out of the Banjo Bowl on Saturday on a roughing-the-passer penalty on Miles Brown, Saskatchewan's defensive end. He was seen on crutches following the game.

Before the injury, Chris appeared in 13 games with Winnipeg this season, throwing for 343 yards and one touchdown. He also ran for 272 yards and 10 scores on the ground. Across 46 career CFL games, Streveler has passed for 3,041 yards, 20 touchdowns and 20 interceptions, while adding 1,439 rushing yards and 32 touchdowns.

He won a Grey Cup with the Bombers in 2019.

According to TSN Football Insider Dave Naylor, the Bombers have brought in Bryan Scott and Jake Dolegala. Scott completed all five passes with Toronto this season for 79 yards and a touchdown. He was released on August 20 after Chad Kelly was reinstated from his suspension.

Dolegala had two appearances for the Lions this year, completing 15 of 26 passes for 158 yards.

There are only three games in the CFL this week, none of which feature Winnipeg. They will put their five-game winning streak on the line next Saturday when they play the surging Edmonton Elks.
