Ron Cornell of the Clear Lake Golf Course saved his best for last in Selkirk.

Playing in Golf Manitoba's senior championships at the Selkirk Golf & Country Club, Ron had one birdie and fired a three-over, 74. He moved up six spots to finish in a tie for eighth. Ron shot rounds of 77 and 80 in his first two rounds.

Also of the Clear Lake Golf Course, Keith Fawcett saved his best for last. He shot a 79 on Wednesday to finish in a tie for 39th, jumping up 14 spots. His first two rounds were 82 and 90. 

Brad Moore of the Pine Ridge Golf Club won this year's event, beating Todd Fanning by three strokes. Moore came from behind, starting Wednesday's round with four birdies in his first seven holes, and shot a 70. Fanning, Dwayne Heinrichs, Jay Doyle, and Mike Walker round out the top five.
