The Dauphin Kings have added a pair of players and one will see a hometown star staying right at home.

First, the team signed Sam Swanton. From Dauphin, Sam will join the Kings after captaining the Parkland U18 Rangers this past season, playing in 39 games. Swanton added two goals and 14 assists during this time.

He also suited up for the Kings in game one of their Turnbull Cup playoff matchup against the Blizzard and remained with the organization for the remainder of the year. He is one of the team's top prospects and he will join the team at fall camp.

"Sam will provide some depth to our returning D core," said Kings Head Coach & General Manager Doug Hedley. "He's a great teammate and a hard worker."

The Kings also announced the signing of Parker Brinner. Coming from Centennial, Colorado, Brinner played with Regis Jesuit High School last year in Colorado where he scored seven goals and 19 points in 17 games.

"Parker is a skilled forward that we think can add some speed and offence up front," said Doug Hedley.

CKDM has reached out to Sam for comment on the signing and will share his story in the coming days. Main camp is slated to begin on Friday, August 30 with the team's preseason slated to begin just a few days later on September 3.
