For years, it has been dubbed as the scramble of the summer.

It's an event that welcomes golfers of all skill levels and it's all about the laughs, good times, and a great meal. Great shots are a plus and it happens to be coming up. The Gilbert Plains Country Club will again host the Battle for the Belts event.

The two-person scramble will take place on Sunday, July 21. The entry fee is just $140 per team, including your round, a meal, and a chance at some incredible prizes. Power carts are extra and a seat for those is $22.50.

"Ryan Rauliuk has donated a $1000 fridge, and we have a $320 meat package from Dusty's Meats, said Danny Scott. "We have a $500 Yeti Cooler from Love & Persson."

So it's safe to say that some incredible prizes are up for grabs. And as noted above, this tournament is open to players of all skill levels. Whether you're a scratch golfer, an average golfer, or you haven't played before. The Battle for the Belts offers prizes for those of all skill levels and the only way you can win one of these amazing prizes is by teeing it up on Sunday, July 21.

"It's an extremely fun tournament, everyone that plays in it always has incredible things to say," ended Scott. "All of the proceeds from the event go back to the GPCC, so it goes to a great cause as well. We're looking forward to a great day on the course."

The registration deadline is Monday, July 15. To register today, you can text or call Chris at 648-7989 or Danny at 572-7552.
