People are calling it one of the best tournaments of the summer and it is set to return to the Gilbert Plains Country Club.

The 5th Annual Parkland Source for Sports 'Battle for the Belts' two-person scramble is set for July 21.

"There are some great prizes and equal prizes for flights," said Danny Scott, organizer. "You get to spend the day at a beautiful course and you get a chance to win some prizes, it's just a great day."

The cost is just $140 per team which includes your round, a meal, and a chance at prizes. You must pre-pay by calling Danny at 572-7552 or Chris at 648-7989. It is a 10:00 a.m. shotgun start with a fresh meal to follow.

"It's all about raising money for the club," offered Scott. "Of any year, this is probably the most important year after what happened with the flood. We appreciate all the support and we know a great day is in store."

There will also be a $10,000 hole-in-one prize if you ace the ninth hole. There will be $1,000 up for grabs if you ace the fourth hole. Registration for the event has now opened so don't delay, spots always fill up very fast.
