Jayce Legaarden's season has come to an end at the Centennial Cup.
In a must-win quarterfinal against the Calgary Canucks of the Alberta Junior Hockey League, it was the Canucks that pulled away in the third in a 4-2 win. The game was tied at two entering the third frame.
Mike Svenson and Zach Nicolas scored for the Flyers, but the Canucks scored the game-winner just 26 seconds into the third and they added an insurance marker not much later at the 4:34 mark.
The last remaining Parkland star at the event is Bo Eisner of Swan River, who will be on the ice Saturday night when the Mustangs play in a semi-final.
Despite the loss, it was an incredible season for Jayce. He was a contributor offensively on the Flyers this season and we will be joined by Jayce early next week.
