Aiden Ziprick is now just two wins away from winning a Western Hockey League championship.
Playing in the final against Ryder Thompson, it was a dream weekend for the Moose Jaw Warriors. They won both games in Portland and now, the Warriors will host the next three games on home ice. They go Tuesday, Wednesday, and if need be, game five would be on Friday night.
Games six and seven would return to Portland next Sunday and Monday. In game one, Matthew Savoie scored his ninth of the playoffs with just three minutes left in the third in a thrilling 3-2 win. Then on Saturday, it was all Warriors as they skated to a 5-1 win.
Aiden of Russell was a plus-one in the contest as Jagger Firkus scored two goals and had one assist.
Every single game of the series is broadcasted on TSN, next up Tuesday in Moose Jaw. The game will feature many family and friends of both Thompson and Ziprick at the game.
