The Parkland U18 Rangers started their weekend with a blowout loss and ended their weekend with a tight defeat.
On Saturday afternoon, they managed just 20 shots in an 8-0 loss against the Winnipeg Thrashers. Then on Sunday, Parkland battled right until the end; however, they came up short in a 5-4 loss against the Winnipeg Bruins.
Maddox Shindle, Hayden Seib, Cash Clarkson, and Cade Legaarden scored for Parkland in the win. The Rangers return to Credit Union Place next weekend for a pair of games against the Bruins.
The Rangers remain nine points back of a playoff spot and they can earn a maximum of 12 points the rest of the regular season.
