The Dauphin Kings will hit the ice to play a few teams that they don't usually do during the preseason.
Dauphin opens their tune-up schedule against the Swan Valley Stampeders on Tuesday, September 6. The following night, Dauphin plays their one and only home exhibition game. That's when the Wisconsin Lumberjacks of the Superior International Junior Hockey League (SIJHL) make a trip to Dauphin.
Then on Saturday, September 10, Dauphin heads to Melville to play the Millionaires at Horizon Credit Union Centre. They will then play the Yorkton Terriers the following afternoon to wrap up their preseason.
Dauphin opens the regular season on Friday, September 16, on home ice against the Neepawa Titans. This game will mark the start of Dauphin's title defence after they downed the Steinbach Pistons in seven games to claim the MJHL title last year. The team then advanced to the national semifinal.
