Sunny days and some warm weather are on the way and that's music to golfer's ears. And this weekend, golfers will get one final chance to tee it up for the season at the Gilbert Plains Country Club.

Scott McCallum has confirmed the course will be open on Saturday and Sunday. Tee times begin at 10:30 a.m. on both days.

"This is really exciting. You can tell that people haven't had enough golf because Thanksgiving weekend was extremely busy here," said McCallum. "We know it's a long and cold winter here in Manitoba and we just want to give golfers once more chance to get a game in."

Fall rates are in effect which means you can play 18 holes with a power cart for just $45. McCallum says the greens are in tremendous shape despite the club aerating the greens a little back.

"We're in really good shape which not many courses can say in October," ended McCallum. "Get your family, friends and come on out for one more round."

You are encouraged to book a tee time by calling the pro shop at 548-3030.
