After 13 years together the Dauphin Kings and Marlin Murray have gone their separate ways.
The club announced this morning (December 11th) that the two sides could not come together when it came to a contract extension. Now former Assistant Coach Marc Berry will take over as Head Coach and GM on an interim basis while Cody Nelson remains with the club as an Assistant Coach.
Murray spent 13 seasons with Kings, 10 of those were as Head Coach and GM. He started in 2003 as an Assistant Coach and took over as Head Coach in 2006. From then until now Murray racked up 367 wins and 166 losses. Highlights of his career with Dauphin include four Sher-Wood Division Championships, an Anavet Cup Championship and he set Franchise record for games coached, wins and National Championship appearances (2).
