The Brandon Wheat Kings won't have the chance to test their post-season luck. Western Hockey League Commissioner Ron Robison has announced the cancellation of the 2020 WHL Playoffs.

The announcement followed a meeting with the WHL Board of Governors and consultation with medical professionals. It was determined that the best course of action was to cancel the playoffs.

Robison added that nothing is more important than the health and safety of the league's players, officials, staff, and fans.

Brandon's season included 35 wins and they finished in third place in the highly competitive Eastern Division.

Stay tuned later this week for a full recap on the Wheat Kings season.
