On this day back in 2014, the Dauphin Kings stayed red-hot. They won their fifth straight playoff game as they doubled up Virden, 4-2.

Dauphin opened their league semi-final with the win after sweeping OCN in the first round of the playoffs. Dauphin also heavily outshot Virden, 33-20.

Brent Wold led the way for the Kings with two goals. Jared Morris and Hudson Morrison scored singles in the victory. Dauphin continued their dominance as they won the next three games to sweep away the Oil Capitals.

In the league final, the Winnipeg Blues dominated Dauphin in five games. This was the same year that Dauphin hosted the Western Canada Cup and they would end up advancing to the Royal Bank Cup. Pictured above is Michael Stiliadis, the team's goaltender.
