The Dauphin Kings got off to a great start and rolled from there, beating the Blizzard in OCN 5-1 Friday night.

Odd man rushes were the flavour of the first period. Rylan Freed (9) scored on the first one to put the Kings up 1-0 early on. Ben Hull (17) grabbed a Power Play marker and then Freed (10) added another to make it 3-0 Dauphin after the first. The Kings picked up where they left off in the second and Landon Plett snagged his sixth of the season.

OCN grabbed a bit of momentum in the middle frame, making it a 4-1 contest, but Dauphin regained their four goal lead when Kirklan Lycar netted his seventeenth of the campaign on a solid set up by Drake Bodie.
