Dauphin's Zach Grouette and Ste. Rose's Jaegar Lapointe are National Champions. The Parkland duo joined the Manitoba men at the National Aboriginal Hockey Championships and they beat Saskatchewan in the final last night, 6-1.

Conner Roulette led the team in the finals with a hat-trick.

Earlier in the day, the Manitoba men beat British Columbia in the bronze medal game, 5-3. The final was scheduled to be Alberta against Saskatchewan, but just before the final, Alberta was disqualified from the event.

That allowed Manitoba to take their spot and they made the most of it.

Stay tuned to hear from Jaegar and Zach this week. Dauphin Kings' Nakodan Greyeyes was also on the team.
