The Swan Valley Stampeders are in search for a new Head Coach and General Manager.

Barry Wolff has stepped down to pursue an opportunity in the British Columbia Junior Hockey League.

Wolff led the Stampeders to their most successful season in franchise history. They finished 42-13-3-2 in the regular season and they advanced to their first league final where they pushed it to game seven.

“We’re disappointed for sure but we’re not totally surprised. We knew when we hired Barry that this could happen because BC is where his roots are,” said Pat Morden, President. “We can’t say enough about the job Barry did here this season. He raised new life into the organization and into the community as a whole.”

The search for Barry’s replacement will begin immediately.

“We’re looking for someone that wants to be here long term so I think we’ll be more careful,” said Morden. “We want to get some stability here and build off all the positives from the past season. There is lots of strong support here and I think anyone who comes here is coming into a pretty good situation.”
