Winnipeg Blue Bombers quarterback Matt Nichols has been named a Shaw CFL Top Performer of the Week.

He was solid last week, throwing for 358 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions. That performance led the Bombers to a win over the Calgary Stampeders which clinched a playoff spot for the team.

He also moved past Don Jonas into the sixth spot on the Bombers all-time passing yardage list at 13,041. It was also his first 300-yard passing game of the season.

The Bombers will wrap up their season against Edmonton. They will then head to Regina or Calgary for the West Semifinal on November 11.
