Swim Abilities Dauphin will be starting up this Saturday at the Kinsmen Aquatic Centre inside the Parkland Recreational Complex.

And, that means the search for volunteers is on.

The program runs from this Saturday until December 15 and takes place every Saturday from 5:00-6:30 p.m.

"It allows those with special needs the chance to learn how to swim," said Kelsy Black, Program Coordinator. "They'll receive 1-on-1 training and this program also makes them more aware of water safety."

Volunteers for the program include doing a variety of different duties.

They include:

Swimming Instructors: At least 14-years-old.

Pool Supervisors: At least 18-years-old.

Front Desk Helpers: At least 10-years-old.

"It's a great volunteering opportunity to help children," added Black. "It also looks great on a resume and especially looks great if you're looking to get into a career that revolves around helping children. It's a great way to get involved in the community and get to know different people."
