The City of Dauphin's Fall Clean-up Campaign begins today in the Day 4 Area in the back lane.

Residences that do not have a back lane, are advised to place your items on the boulevard near the curb.

Prairie Farmers Look Towards The Energy Sector

It could be a lean year for prairie farmers who supplement their income with work in the energy sector.

Kevin Neveu of Calgary-based Precision Drilling says farmers are useful because they have experience with mechanical equipment and are resourceful.

He says they also like things to be done in a certain way, which fits the culture of the drilling rig.

Industry forecasts, however, suggest that 2016 will be the worst year for drilling activity in almost four decades in Canada.

Neveu says each idle drilling rig represents about 25 field jobs.

Winnipeg Piano Continues To Draw People In

A public piano that was one of seven placed around Winnipeg for the 2014 Juno Awards celebrations continues to draw audiences.

Many of the pianos were set up outside, which took a toll on their condition, but the Portage Place shopping centre has one in its courtyard where anyone can play it.

The piano, named "Happiano,'' has become an unofficial place for musicians to meet and share their talent.

Winnipeg piano players like David MacLean say guitar players are a dime a dozen, but piano players are a little more rare.

Winnipeg Regional Health Authority Apologizes For Incorrect Death

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is apologizing once again for accidentally telling a patient's family that their loved one was dead.

A few minutes later, the nurse realized her error and called Paisley's distraught husband to inform him of the mix up.

The authority also apologized recently for a mistake in September that led to a nurse incorrectly informing a man that his 100-year-old mother had died.

A Day Full Of Television For Canadian Thanksgiving

After turkey dinners are cleared off the table tonight, a lot of Canadians may be flipping channels back and forth on their TVs between the Blue Jays game and the U-S presidential debate.

Instead of issuing apologies for a 2005 video where he makes vulgar comments about women, Donald Trump's camp says he's going to attack Bill Clinton.

The town-hall style debate will have Trump and Clinton fielding questions from ABC's Martha Raddatz and CNN's Anderson Cooper as well as from undecided voters in the audience.

Firefighters across the province will be reminding residents the importance of fire safety through a provincial campaign.
