A 51 year old man is dead and a33 year old woman was seriously injured after the tractor they were driving on the Trans Canada was struck by a semi.
Last night, near Steinbeck, the pair were driving down highway 1 when a semi driven by a 70 year old man from Montreal collided with the equipment. They were both traveling in the same direction. The man in the tractor was pronounced deceased at the scene while the woman was brought to hospital in unstable condition.
Charges are pending against the driver of the semi. He was not injured in the collision.
The investigation is ongoing.
