A man from Portage has died after he struck a semi carrying lumber.
The accident happened around 11 last night on highway 6, north of Winnipeg. The 35 year old man crashed into the semi causing the truck to lose control and go into the ditch and the lumber to scatter all over the road. The 35 year old was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver and his 2 passengers of the semi were taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries.
It’s not known at this time if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the accident.
