The Manitoba Government is going to announce a 25 dollars-a-tonne carbon tax today.
A government source confirms that beginning next year, the tax would add five cents a litre to the price of gas and raise about 250-million dollars a year for the province.
Pallister says the province must act or the federal government will impose an even high one.
