Gilbert Plains Municipality welcomes their new CAO to their organization.
Leanne McKay has worked a variety of different jobs such as construction, human resources and finance and brings these experiences to the table.
McKay notes when she started and what she is looking forward to.
“I started this Monday, October 16,” noted McKay. “So far right now, I enjoy the challenge of the learning curve and I am enjoying meeting the staff, getting to the know them and figuring out how we are going to develop our team. In my construction background, I have a strong interest in the public works department and I am enjoying that very much into looking into finalizing and closing off our waste disposal site and finding ways to run efficiently with our new one. And that’s a big part of it, enjoying what services we do provide here and seeing how I can make them more efficient.”
McKay is eager to explore new challenges and keep the services going strong in the community.
