The Dr. Ajai Khandelwall Primary Care Centre broke ground yesterday in Minnedosa.
The privately funded facility was named in honour of Dr. Khandelwall and his years of service to the area.
Ray Orr, Minnedosa Mayor, talks about the municipalities involved in financing the project.
“We are part of a larger community here so, it’s a large area we service,” explained Orr. “We have had support from the R.M. of Harrison Park, the R.M. of Minto Odanah, the R.M. of Oakview, the R.M. of Clanwilliam Erickson as well as the town here itself.”
The clinic is scheduled to be operational next summer.
