A man from Carberry is facing charges after failing to give the right of way on Highway 5 to a car traveling on Highway 1.
RCMP say the 81 year old man's SUV was upside down when emergency officials arrived, with an 81-year-old woman passenger trapped inside. Fire and ambulance crews worked to remove the woman from the SUV who was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
RCMP say the other vehicle was badly damaged but the driver, an 18 year old from Brandon, was alert and talking.
