The Dauphin NDP Association is hosting their second annual Fall Supper and Dessert Auction as part of their organization’s fundraising efforts.
With the party’s new leader, Wab Kinew, there are some new changes and expectations for the NDP.
Curtis Kaleta, President of the Dauphin NDP Constituency Association, talks about how the event got started.
“It was an event we decided to start last year,” noted Kaleta. “A lot of different constituencies do different things in the fall or spring so we decided to start doing it last year. We actually had Wab as our speaker last year as well. So he is coming back again this year but this year as the new leader of the NDP party. I think that will be exciting news and exciting to have him here. Certainly a lot of people are going to want to come out and listen to him talk, see him and support our event.”
The fundraising dinner is scheduled for November 4 at the Dauphin Multi Purpose Senior Centre and tickets are $24.95 each and anyone wishing to purchase tickets can call Kaleta at 648-7913.
