Former host of Let’s Make a Deal, Monty Hall, passed away today at the age of 96.
Hall was originally from Winnipeg’s north end.
In his youth, he had set his goals to be a physician and was not accepted, so he focused on performing.
Hall participated in student theatre at the University of Manitoba and took a job in radio with a Winnipeg station.
He was officially named to the Order of Manitoba in 2002.
