The Warkentin family from Waterhen recently received some positive news.

Immigration Canada has reopened the family’s case to appeal the decision made to reject their Permanent Resident Status based on their daughter’s disability.

Jon Warkentin talks about what they have to do next.

“They reversed their decision and they are giving us 60 days to put together all the information that we can send them to show them that Karalynn is not going to be an excessive cost to the system,” announced Warkentin.  “There’s still a point where they can look at all that information and say well we don’t think that she should be here, but it’s really exciting that they reopened the case and are letting us continue with our application.”

The Warkentin’s are happy they are no longer in the court system with this issue and can appeal Immigration Canada to stay.
