The Manitoba Association of Agricultural Societies is hosting their annual Open Farm Day on September 17.

This year 47 host farm sites have signed on to participate.

Wendy Bulloch, Open Farm Day Coordinator, talks about how Open Farm Day started.

“Originally Open Farm Day started back in about 2010,” noted Bulloch.  “And it was started with Manitoba Agriculture , they carried it on until 2015, and in 2015 the Manitoba Association of Ag Societies, which is the umbrella for all 50 plus ag societies, across the province were given the responsibility to deliver the program.”

Radford Ranch in Roblin; Rocky Acres Dairy in Ochre River; Inglis Elevators in Inglis; Nerbas Brothers Angus Farm in Shellmouth and Clayton U-Pick Orchard in Elkhorn are some of the closest farms in the area participating.
