There are a large number of new courses available for those interested in business administration and teaching assistants at the Assiniboine Community College.
For those who are looking for their next step or a career change, these programs offer a new opportunity. Gabe Mercier director of the Parkland Campus of the ACC talks about some topics and courses that are newly offered for this year at the Parkland campus of ACC.
"What we have new for this year is, we have an intake of early childhood education and practical nursing, which is a new year for both of these programs. However, we have Administrative Assistant which is a program that we are trying to implement. We also have Applied Building construction, as well as the electrical installation course program. We are also trying to educational assistant as a brand new program in the fall. Administrative assistant and educational assistant are the brand new programs that are starting in the fall."
Education assistant will teach how to be teachers in the public school system, while the administrative assistant will consist of a 10-course program that teaches how to thrive in a business environment.
