Today is the Children’s Wish Foundation’s Annual Family Fun Day.
From 11 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon, a large number of activities and entertainment are planned to be held in Vermilion Park. Sharon Derhousoff, co-chair for the Dauphin Chapter of the Children’s Make a Wish Foundation, talks about some of the carnival games that will be able to be enjoyed by the whole family.
“We’ve been told that there is a few people dressing up to hand out some extra prizes. The carnival games goes anywhere from a duck pond to a zombie bowling. Some of the different agencies and businesses in town are actually sponsoring certain games and they will be dunk the Timbit. There’s at least 9 to 10 different games and they range from different ages being able to participate. There are also some free events that are involved. Because we want it to be exactly what the day says, Family fun Day. Yes, it is a fund raiser for us but that doesn’t mean that’s the only people we want to come out. We want to be able to entertain people and just make the day where a family can just sit back and relax and enjoy."
A teddy bear hospital, BBQ, and a whole bunch more entertainment are planned for the family event tomorrow.
