The president of Keystone Ag producers Dan Mazier was in Dauphin yesterday talking with members on his annual tour.

During the visit the group of members visited a local hemp processing plant. Don Dewar, who is a member of KAP, talks about why it’s a good idea for the president to go on tour and meet with local farmers.

“Well, it’s an opportunity to meet the president and the general manager this time to talk about any of their concerns with KAP. KAP depends on the member's input to their policies, and they have different meetings, four meetings a year, where they talk about where policies are actually developed. And that comes from the different various 12 districts of the province."

During his time in Dauphin, the president along with local KAP members toured a hemp facility located south of the city. Fisher Farms, located south of dauphin grows and processes both hemp and quinoa.
