The two judges from Communities in Bloom are in Dauphin taking in everything the community has to offer.
Dauphin is competing in the medium international challenge in this year’s competition.
So far their experience has been a positive one. Berta Briggs & Bernadette Solon speak about the impressions of the community they have made so far.
“Berta Briggs: It has been wonderful. Wonderful hospitality and I think the surprising thing is that it is so cohesive the different groups that work together to address all the needs of the community.
Bernadette Solon: Yes, I’d Agree with Berta meeting so many individuals who are on different committees and who assist one another is just wonderful and that’s what communities and community building is all about so you are a very, very close community and you are aware of the needs of others and you’re willing to help one another. So that’s lovely to see.”
Dauphin is the 7th community the two women have judged. The pair has been to 2 in communities in Europe and 5 in Canada.
