Next week the Parkland Crop Diversification Foundation is holding their annual field day.

Some of the topics at this year’s event include “managing hemp straw”, “growing and marketing of special crops” such as quinoa, and “flax agronomy”. Diversification specialist James Frey talks about the times people should know and what sort of things will be covered.

“We’re going to be having a field day on the following Monday. Which is July 24th. It’s going to be starting at 10:30 with coffee and registration, from 11 until 12 we are going to have our fist pair of sessions, lunch over the noon hour, and then another pair of half hour sessions from one o’clock until 2 o’clock.”

You can still register for the event by calling 937-6360, emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., or simply by showing up on Monday.
