Dauphin is getting ready for the Community in Bloom judges to arrive next week.
This year Dauphin is competing in the international medium size category. Judges will be taken all throughout the city to various parks and areas that showcase the community. Dauphin Chairperson for Communities in Bloom, Patti Eilers, talks about how the community is getting ready for evaluation day.
“We’re making sure that everything is neat and tidy. Cause that is one of the things that we are evaluated in. And we just keep maintaining our flower beds and our landscaping. Those are all part of what we have of being judged and it includes tidiness, environmental action, heritage conservation, urban forestry, and landscaping.”
The judges arrive in town on the 27th and the official judging takes place next day on Friday the 28th.
