Yesterday around 12:40 pm, RCMP responded to a single-vehicle collision on a grid road, around half a kilometer east of Provincial Road 264, northeast of Rossburn, Manitoba.

Early investigation indicates a pickup truck was eastbound when it lost control on the gravel road and rolled. There were four adult males in the truck. The front passenger, 36 years old from Russell, was thrown from the truck and pronounced deceased at the scene. One other passenger received minor injuries, and the driver and remaining passenger were uninjured. Alcohol is not considered to be a factor at this time. The deceased was not wearing a seatbelt. It is unclear at this time whether the other occupants were wearing seatbelts or not.

A RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
