The Priority Procedures public meetings, the second subcommittee of the Wait Times Reduction Task Force, are underway this week.

The first two meetings were held in Winnipeg at the Red River College and Morden; and two more meetings are scheduled for Winnipeg at the Notre Dame Recreation Centre.

Dr. Michael Rachlis, Co-Chair of the Priority Procedures Committee, notes the committee is in the early stages of their work.

"Our committe is looking at 3 specific procedures where Manitoba's performance seems to lag the Canadian average; namely Cataract surgery, MRI procedure, and knee and hip replacement surgery."

For those unable to attend the meetings, an online survey is available at: www.gov.mb.ca/health/wtrtf.html
