Five Manitoba Conservative Members of Parliament attended a meeting with the North Dakota Congressman Kevin Cramer this past Monday.

A variety of issues were discussed that affect both Manitoba and North Dakota, such as trade agreements, cross border water issues, illegal border crossing and the Keystone XL Pipeline.

Member of Parliament for Dauphin-Swan River-Neepawa, Robert Sopuck, notes the significance of meeting with Congressman Kevin Cramer.

"Congressman Kramer is not only chair of the Northern Border Caucus which is the one who seeks to foster better relations with team Canada and the US, he's a close advisor with President Donald Trump so this was a very important meeting."

The other four Manitoba Conservative Members of Parliament who were in attendance were Larry Maguire, Candice Bergen, James Bezan, and Ted Falk.
