Time sure flies when you're having fun.
On Saturday at the Gilbert Plains Community Hall, members of the Gilbert Plains Community Fund hosted their tenth annual dinner and fundraising event with donors and grant recipients in attendance.
Gilbert Plains Community Fund Chair Charlene Gulak is optimistic about what the future holds for the municipality.
"Tonight was an excellent evening, it's always wonderful to bring our community together in terms of recognizing those organizations which play such a vital role to the quality of life to our community [...] By giving back through some small grant donations we can see a significant impact."
Since 2008 the community fund has granted back $38,740 dollars to Gilbert Plains.
