As overland flooding continues to be a concern across Manitoba, erosion in some parts could cause problems for residents.

The Intermountain Conservation District has once again issued their Forage Seed Reimbursement program which they believe will minimize erosion.

According to IMCD Manager Jeff Thiele, the conservation district have already been out and about checking conditions.

"We're about a week into it here I guess the higher spring runoff, and so we've been doing some touring in the area and definitely some of the main waterways were seeing some erosion already [...] with the high water it's putting a lot of pressure on the river banks, and were seeing some erosion in the river banks, and starting to see some in the fields too."

The program has certain guidelines in order to qualify and provides a maximum of $400 reimbursement to those who certify.
