Assiniboine Community College alumni Don Penny will be the first person to receive ACC's newest award.
The award recognizes someone who demonstrates courage in their business, community, professional or personal lives.
ACC's Director of External Relations Steve Horne believes Don Penny was a perfect choice for the award.
"Don stood out with his experience with MNP, growing it to a national firm from its rural roots in Westman. He's been recognized and participated nationally in his profession as an accountant. And of course in his community and his personal life, where he has given back over many years, to many different service groups in the community."
Penny will receive the award at an award dinner held in Brandon on May 11th.
