It may not be a blizzard, but extreme weather conditions are still active in the Parkland.
An extreme cold warning is currently in effect for the areas of Dauphin, Russell, Roblin, Winnipegosis and surrounding communities.
Environment Canada says a very cold arctic ridge of high pressure is giving temperatures of -30 or colder to portions of west-central Manitoba this morning.
Combined with winds of 10 to 15 km/h extreme wind chills are expected closer to -40 or colder.
Right now it's -47 with the windchill in Dauphin.
